Laval - Jour overture

On April 28 2007, STM opened the long-awaited extension of the Orange Line from Henri Bourassa to Montmorency with three new stations, all in Laval. As much of a transportation geek as I am, I had never been on the opening day of a new train line. These are my photos from a trip that day, while carrying the 6 month old Giraffe in his backpack.

Katharine Lee

We are lucky to have her, and to have known her for the 5 years she has lived with us. She is the best cat ever. Ever.

Simon and I both send much love to the cat who charmed us on visits to Chicago and Montreal (despite her confirming that I'm definitely allergic to cats...). She's a great little animal, with a good mix of friendliness and occasional true cat disinterest in mere human attempts to entertain her.

She's definitely had good years with D&K and I'm sure they'll spoil her for the next while and then give her the best send off possible!

I found your post about Itty Bitty while researching the same condition our cat Fresca is in. My wife and I are in the same very situation on how to address our cat's sickness. We have the option of surgery to remove the mass with no guarantee or to put her down. Your post has helped us as I read it to my wife. It's difficult to see our Fresca in the condition she is in. Thank you for sharing your experience.

I am glad that it has helped someone else to read what I wrote - I am absolutely certain that we made the right decision. I think of how it would be for me to be treated in a hospital with no idea what was happening to me for weeks on end while I was gradually getting more uncomfortable. I wouldn't want to do it if I didn't have an understanding. All the best to you over the next few days and weeks.
